(Even if You Can’t Do a Perfect Wing… Yet)
Let’s be honest — your eyes are the main character of your face.
They show your mood, your energy, and with the right makeup tricks, they can totally transform your whole vibe.
Whether you’re new to makeup or just want to level up your everyday eye look, here are some of my favorite go-to hacks that actually work — and don’t take a makeup degree to master.
Ever wake up looking like you didn’t sleep (even if you kinda didn’t)?
Swipe a nude or white pencil liner on your lower waterline — boom, you look instantly more awake.
💡 Nude is a bit more natural, white is more dramatic. Try both, see what you like!
If you’ve ever skipped eye primer because... who has that? Just dab your creamy concealer over your lids, blend it in, and set it with a bit of translucent powder.
Now your shadows stick, blend better, and last way longer.
💡 Bonus: it evens out any redness or veins too.
Struggle with eyeliner wings that end up looking like cousins instead of twins? Same.
Try this: stick a tiny piece of tape at the outer corner of your eye angled up toward your brow. Then do your liner or shadow — peel it off gently.
Voila. Sharp. Clean. Zero stress.
💡 Use gentle tape (like washi or medical tape) so your skin doesn’t hate you.
Want your shimmery or metallic eyeshadow to really pop? Dampen your brush with a bit of water or setting spray before dipping into the product.
It’ll make your color way more vibrant — and stay put longer.
💡 Just don’t soak it — you want damp, not dripping.
Repeat after me: curl first, mascara second.
Never the other way around. Your lashes will thank you (and not snap off 😬).
Hold your lash curler at the base of your lashes for about 5–10 seconds. The lift is real.
💡 Warm it slightly with your blow dryer (for 2 seconds!) for a heated curl.
Black eyeliner can be intense — especially if you’re just doing a chill day look.
Instead, blend a soft brown shadow over your eyeliner or into your crease. It creates a more natural, diffused look — like, “I woke up this flawless” energy.
💡 This is the hack if you're still learning to blend. It’s forgiving and always cute.
A tiny bit of shimmer in your inner corners and under the brow arch? Underrated.
It instantly lifts your eyes and gives your whole face a glow-up.
💡 Use champagne, pearl, or soft gold highlighter for a pretty, flattering effect.
Want those bold, fluffy lashes without falsies? Try this:
First, apply a lengthening mascara to stretch out your lashes
Wait a few seconds
Then layer on a volumizing formula for that full, fluttery look
💡 Yes, two mascaras sounds extra — but it’s totally worth it.
